Titlie, an alluring newcomer in Goa, is perched on the Vagator cliffside with its terrace bar offering panoramic 180 degree views of the Ozran beach. “Why Titlie? Because no other name was as symbolic as the metamorphosis Goa goes through from being a beach bum’s lazy lounging spot through the day to becoming a chic, clubbing destination after the sunset hours,” says Tarun Sibal, the head chef and co-owner of the fashion-forward tapas bar. The interiors are done by designer Shweta Kaushik of SK.ID.
Titlie’s design is uncomplicated: there’s an elevated, canopied main dining area, an al fresco seating arrangement across the beach and a dance floor next to a DJ console. “We created a green path beginning at the entrance through the terraced areas breaking up the spaces into two essential parts: a covered gazebo with a diner with an outdoor area overlooking the horizon. This was further divided into cosy little nooks separated by raised areas and landscaped mounds to create a lovely, intimate beach garden,” Kaushik says.
